About the Role
ING is seeking an Interaction/UX Designer to join the Experience Design Center of Expertise. This role involves creating the best digital experiences for customers and employees by collaborating with design colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to innovate across ING platforms and products.
Responsibilities
- Work on medium to large digital customer journeys through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including business stakeholders, data analysts, and developers.
- Communicate and convince senior stakeholders regarding design decisions.
- Represent the "voice of the customer" within teams and at senior levels.
- Defend user-centered development of digital concepts and solutions, and ensure quality during the delivery process.
- Design and deliver user-centered and user experience artifacts.
- Initiate and execute research and data collection to discover and validate customer insights, wants, and needs.
- Test and optimize concept designs based on outcomes.
- Act as a well-voiced advocate for user experience within teams, increasing engagement and business understanding of design's value.
- Communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, and design rationales clearly.
Requirements
- Graduate of a University (MA) or University of Applied Arts (BA) in a digital design-related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant digital design experience.
- Strong and creative digital portfolio with examples of work in interaction and user experience design.
- Designs based on data and insights with a proactive approach.
- Advanced knowledge of design techniques including information architecture, task-flow models, UI specs, design specs, wireframing, prototyping, and user-centered design.
- Thorough experience in designing for mobile/tablet devices.
- Knowledge of designing for accessibility (A11Y) and its application.
- Broad understanding, skill, and experience in setting up and conducting user research.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
