About the Role

First Climate supports companies and organizations in achieving their sustainability and climate goals by offering comprehensive solutions in renewable energies, sustainable investments, and climate protection. Help us develop intelligent climate solutions, enable measurable climate impact, and support organizations on their path to Net Zero.

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently manage consulting projects throughout the entire customer Climate Journey.
• Prepare GHG balances according to GHG Protocol (Scope 1-3) and define science-based reduction targets according to SBTi.
• Develop concrete decarbonization measures and transition plans and support their operationalization.
• Support clients with ESG and CDP reporting and prepare them for current regulatory requirements (e.g., CSRD/ESRS, CBAM).
• Actively monitor regulatory developments and new market trends, contributing new ideas to our consulting services.
• Support the sales team in acquiring new clients and build long-term customer relationships.

Requirements

• Completed university degree and 3-5+ years of relevant professional experience in sustainability/climate consulting or a comparable internal role.
• In-depth knowledge of the GHG Protocol, SBTi methodology, and ideally experience with CDP reporting.
• Proven success in (multi-)project management and building successful customer relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present project results convincingly to clients.
• Fluent German and English; any additional language is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and affinity for data; experience with ESG software (e.g., Carbon+Alt+Delete) or BI/analysis tools is advantageous.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and an open, constructive attitude.
