About the Role

In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspections of components and auxiliary parts, and prepare components and tools according to work instructions.
  • Process, evaluate, save, and document measurement data in accordance with manufacturing documentation and production requirements.
  • Carry out grinding, lapping, polishing, and honing processes, and set up and operate various machine types according to work instructions, recipes, and production cards.
  • Conduct in-process measurements and visual inspections using various measuring instruments and machines.
  • Assemble, bond, temper, and clamp components, as well as prepare bonding compounds according to specifications.
  • Chamfer, engrave, paint/coating, and protect components through adhesive processes according to specifications.
  • Perform cleaning, maintenance, and servicing of machines, measuring equipment, and components, and create quality reports (e.g., in SAP).

Requirements

  • Completed a specialized vocational training program of at least 3 years.
  • Professional experience in grinding and lapping components.
  • Can confidently read and understand technical drawings.
  • Willing to work in a cleanroom environment and in shifts.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ideally have experience working with SAP.
  • Experience handling solvents.
  • Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
