About the Role
Join Lindamood-Bell as an Educational Clinician / Tutor in San Francisco, CA, teaching students of all ages to read and comprehend to their potential. This entry-level position requires no prior teaching experience, as Lindamood-Bell provides paid training, instructional materials, and necessary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
- Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans.
- Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximize learning.
- Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
- Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
- Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program.
- Passion for helping others succeed academically.
- Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages.
- Effective task-management capabilities in each instructional session.
- Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
