About the Role

Join Lindamood-Bell as an Educational Clinician / Tutor in Double Bay, NSW, teaching students of all ages to read and comprehend to their potential. No prior teaching experience is required as Lindamood-Bell provides paid training, instructional materials, and necessary equipment. This is an on-site, in-person, entry-level position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
  • Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans.
  • Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximize learning.
  • Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program.
  • Passion for helping others succeed academically.
  • Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages.
  • Effective task-management capabilities in each instructional session.
  • Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience (preferred).
  • Background in education, child development, or literacy (preferred).
  • Experience working with children or students (preferred).
  • Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and background checks.
  • Preferred applicants will be required to provide a prohibited employment declaration and consent to a Working With Children check.
