About the Role

As a (Junior) Sales Manager (B2B), you will collaborate with interested medium-sized companies, demonstrating how they can leverage state-funded further training to specifically develop their employees. You will primarily work with qualified inbound leads and existing company inquiries. In discussions with managing directors or HR managers, you will advise on suitable programs and funding opportunities, such as the Qualification Opportunities Act, and guide the process from the initial consultation to the concrete qualification commitment. You can expect a growing market, a solid inbound lead setup combined with targeted outreach in the SME segment, and a CRM-supported sales process that provides structure and clarity in the sales funnel. We are not looking for traditional product salespeople, but for solution-oriented consultants who understand how decision-makers think, can explain funding logic clearly, and confidently guide companies through the decision-making process.

Responsibilities

  • B2B consulting with clear added value: Show SMEs how they can make their teams future-proof through state-funded further training, often without their own investment.
  • Inbound-driven acquisition in the SME segment: Primarily work with qualified inbound leads and conduct discussions with managing directors and HR managers. Guide companies from initial consultation to closing to implement state-funded further training for their employees.
  • Convey funding logic: Understand or learn the basics of state funding programs (e.g., QCG, AVGS) and explain them convincingly and practically.
  • CRM & Funnel Management: Work structurally with our CRM (e.g., Hubspot), prioritize your sales funnel sensibly, and drive conversions.
  • Incorporate market feedback: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success, and contribute insights from customer conversations.

Requirements

  • Initial experience in B2B sales or customer-oriented roles: Ideally, you have gained initial experience in sales, account management, recruiting, or another customer-oriented role – for example, in areas such as HR-Tech, further education, SaaS, agencies, or consulting. What is most important is your interest in sales: You listen well, recognize needs, and enjoy supporting companies in selecting suitable solutions.
  • Confident demeanor & communication excellence: Communicate clearly, reliably, and at eye level – whether with managing directors, HR managers, or specialist decision-makers. You can convey complex funding logic understandably and build long-term relationships based on trust and substance.
  • Closing orientation & goal clarity: Act structurally, think in numbers, and proactively steer towards clear KPIs. You don't just advise – you lead to closing. Performance orientation and quality are not a contradiction for you.
  • Understanding of funding logic & state programs: Ideally, you have initial experience with funding structures (e.g., Qualification Opportunities Act, AVGS, further training bonuses) – or have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new regulatory contexts and convey them convincingly.
  • Self-organization & digital competence: Work independently, bring a high degree of initiative, and use digital tools (CRM, Google Workspace, automation tools) purposefully to increase efficiency and impact.
