About the Role
Lead Council’s Spatial and Customer Information function, managing the Geographic Information System, property system, and related datasets to support high-quality spatial products and services. Enhance customer experience through continuous improvement, service monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and effective team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective people leadership, coaching and support to team members to achieve outcomes.
- Lead the delivery of Council’s Spatial and Customer Information function.
- Manage Council’s Geographic Information System and property system, including datasets, spatial analysis and related services.
- Manage and maintain Council’s property numbering policy and process.
- Manage and maintain Council’s Name and Address Register.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
- Review services, monitor service levels and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead special projects as required.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Spatial Information, GIS or a related discipline.
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated experience leading people and teams to achieve outcomes.
- Experience in Spatial Information related services.
- Specialised knowledge and experience in property, GIS and related systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Sound collaboration and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- A demonstrated commitment to Council’s values.
- Successful applicants may be required to undertake a Criminal History Check, Medical and/or Working with Children Check.
- Applicants must hold an Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or possess a valid work permit/visa with full unrestricted working rights.
