About the Role
Oversee daily operations of a small production team, ensuring efficient workflow, quality and safety standards, and achievement of shift targets. Support staff performance management, training, and compliance with health, safety, and GMP requirements. Maintain production records, manage raw material supply, monitor inventory, and troubleshoot production issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision and direction to a small production team.
- Support and review staff performance.
- Coordinate on-the-job staff training and assessment.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards to meet shift requirements.
- Ensure team compliance with health and safety standards and reporting of near misses and hazards.
- Maintain accurate food safety and production records.
- Ensure organization of the work area and GMP standards.
- Oversee production line supply of raw materials/components.
- Conduct physical inventory checks for stock verification.
- Troubleshoot production issues and escalate equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to minimizing food wastage in the production area.
Requirements
- Background in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large volume commercial kitchen facility.
- Experience operating food production equipment.
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety practices.
