About the Role
The Intern Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in capital markets and providing strategic advisory services for financial transactions. The role also involves acting as an intermediary in trading for clients, formulating investment strategies, and raising capital.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, underwriting, and distributing equity, debt, and derivative securities.
- Collect and analyze company information, including conducting industry research and revising/organizing financial data.
- Analyze data and develop financial models (company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing, comparative analyses).
- Create and finalize new business development presentations.
- Coordinate tasks with internal and external working teams.
- Prepare required internal documentation, including control and compliance regulations.
- Participate in Citi's mentorship program for further training and guidance.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation, and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to policy and apply sound ethical judgment in business practices.
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the global or domestic business landscape is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to develop knowledge of the financial industry.
- Proven commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
