About the Role

We are seeking applications for Patient Services Assistants to join our Environmental Services team at Burwood, on a casual basis. You will be responsible for supporting the nursing staff and ensuring the hospital is always cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will be expected to work across a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts; and have the flexibility to cover shifts at short notice.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of all rooms and common areas within the building and grounds of SJGHC Burwood.
Maintain high standard of all Housekeeping services to Clients, guests and caregivers.
Attend and participate in meetings as directed by Housekeeping Coordinator & Hotel Services Manager.
Use and maintain Housekeeping equipment in accordance with manufactures instructions and safe operating procedures.
Assists in the provision of other additional services provided by housekeeping under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisors, Managers or Duty Nurse Manager.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience working with industrial cleaning equipment.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be vaccinated from Influenza.
