About the Role

PayPal is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop secure, high-performing data integration and ETL processes. This role involves managing the full development lifecycle, building scalable data pipelines, and ensuring data integrity across large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure, high-performing data integration and ETL processes.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into data warehouses.
  • Implement automated data quality checks and validation processes.
  • Create and maintain design documentation for data pipelines and systems.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of data systems through performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers and analysts to develop technical solutions for business needs.
  • Participate in design and software code reviews.
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
