About the Role

The Customer Operations Specialist will assist the Customer Operations Manager in driving process improvements and efficiency initiatives to deliver value to the frontline sales team. This role involves planning and implementing operational strategies within the commercialization process to enhance service to retail customers and positively impact business performance. The specialist will identify and resolve recurring issues affecting customer service and track results against the customer service scorecard.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and implementing operational strategies and tactics in the commercialization process.
  • Identify and find solutions for reoccurring issues impacting customer service.
  • Manage sales operations, including supply inventory to support sales teams, reduce out-of-stocks, and mitigate commercial risk.
  • Support sales planning by identifying key customer milestones and ensuring alignment across marketing, supply chain, and sales for product and communication plans.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand and align on supply chain solutions that remove barriers for the commercial organization.
  • Act as the regional lead for all quality issues, including product recalls, distributor audit processes, and shelf-life and/or shipping policies.
  • Participate in review meetings and act as a key point of contact between sales and supply chain to manage market issues, feed issues into supply chain teams, and communicate solutions back to sales teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other relevant field.
  • Bilingual (English/French) required.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience across supply chain and sales (CPG industry experience is a bonus).
  • Experience in forecasting, demand planning, and brand/product launches and commercialization.
  • Proven track record of breaking down complex problems to deliver simple solutions.
  • Experience advising and directing business solutions driven from data and analytics.
  • Demonstrated success in planning, developing, and executing key initiatives across a commercial organization.
  • Understanding of how sales and provincial systems operate and ability to connect to the company’s overall business strategy.
  • Consent to complete a criminal background check.
