About the Role
Play a key role in shaping efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets are met. Work closely with teams across the business to co-design products, define workstation layouts, and validate industrial processes. Support the introduction of new technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the introduction of new technologies with associated process validation plans.
- Industrialize retrofits after engineering changes, including documentation and workstation updates.
- Design the macro-process based on standard SMP.
- Identify needs for specific manufacturing equipment.
- Estimate method time and perform preliminary line balancing.
- Identify critical process steps for detailed Process FMEA and FAR/FAI.
- Complete industrial documentation, including industrial data sheets and IMFU.
- Define workstation layouts while considering ergonomic and EHS rules.
- Validate product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI.
- Support production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience or understanding of industrial processes, manufacturing engineering, or process optimization.
- Knowledge of process design methodologies, line balancing, and industrial documentation.
- Familiarity with special processes (e.g., gluing, welding) as well as continuous improvement tools and practices (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Process FMEA, FAR (First Article Review), and FAI (First Article Inspection) is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using industrial design and manufacturing software/tools.
- A continuous learning mindset to stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices.
