About the Role
The Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Operation is a cornerstone of Leidos’ comprehensive security solutions for aviation, ports, borders, and critical infrastructure customers globally. With over 24,000 products deployed in 120 countries, SES addresses emerging threats through rapid development of innovative solutions. This role involves travel to customer sites domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer support activities including installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
- Isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and take corrective action.
- Complete ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments with provided instructions.
- Adhere to all established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate repair activities in priority sequence to ensure adherence to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work in a customer environment with systems operated 24/7, requiring immediate response times (on-shift or on-call) and driving long distances to sites.
- Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU.
Requirements
- Related Trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or Military Training (electrical, mechanical, electronics).
- Equivalence of 2 years of electrical or mechanical field service role through comparative work and life experience.
- Computer literacy, including competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
- Must be responsive to all customer issues at all times.
- Willing and able to travel at short notice.
- Must be able to pass an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull 200 lbs.
- Ability to move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1000 lbs. with assistance.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
- Ability to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
