About the Role
As a Project Director, you will serve as the primary interface with PMA clients, leading project teams through strategic real estate planning, design, and construction. You will minimize risk while maximizing outcomes for increasingly sophisticated real estate needs and challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead the client and project team through strategic real estate planning, design, and construction of new buildings, tenant improvement buildouts, and facilities assignments.
- Manage project teams successfully through all phases of the development and construction process.
- Lead master planning, budgeting, pre-construction, schematic design, design development, and construction documents phases.
- Oversee construction/transition planning to build/project activation.
- Manage successful projects and consistently meet/exceed client expectations and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and other development, design, and construction-related professionals.
Requirements
- 15+ years of development and project management experience.
- Experience as an Owner’s Representative or Project Manager representing the fiduciary interests of the real estate developer or investor.
- Knowledgeable with regard to project pro forma, including development budgets, operations, and resulting financial metrics.
- Thorough understanding of project controls, project management, construction documentation, and sequencing.
- Working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value-engineering techniques, and building/occupancy laws and lease requirements.
