About the Role

As part of HDR's Architecture practice, you will contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being. You will solve complex design challenges with creativity, curiosity, and collaboration, influencing how individuals experience the world around them and leaving a lasting impact on the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Manage all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high technical complexity.
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations, participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work efforts to meet budget and schedule parameters.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced Project Managers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • US citizenship required due to client contract requirements.
  • Position is subject to a government background check.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED preferred.
  • Laboratory, R&D, Biotech, Science experience preferred.
  • Federal Project Experience preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Registered Architect.
  • Must be able to lead a team on projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Knowledge and experience within the local and regional market.
  • Good planning and mentoring skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
