About the Role
As part of HDR's Architecture practice, you will contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being. You will solve complex design challenges with creativity, curiosity, and collaboration, influencing how individuals experience the world around them and leaving a lasting impact on the built environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Manage all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high technical complexity.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
- Establish and maintain client relations, participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
- Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
- Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work efforts to meet budget and schedule parameters.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Supervise large project staffs and mentor less-experienced Project Managers.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- US citizenship required due to client contract requirements.
- Position is subject to a government background check.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED preferred.
- Laboratory, R&D, Biotech, Science experience preferred.
- Federal Project Experience preferred.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- 10 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Registered Architect.
- Must be able to lead a team on projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Knowledge and experience within the local and regional market.
- Good planning and mentoring skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
