About the Role

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems for end-users in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates and backups, equipment inventory, and endpoint protection software.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including setting up workstations and software.
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Document and track technical issues and resolutions using the ticketing system.
  • Maintain and manage the CCTV system across all dealerships, including exporting footage when requested.
  • Coordinate with external contractors/suppliers for computer peripheral repairs.
  • Provide first-level network support for onsite devices (Wireless AP, POS Media Player, Router, Switch, etc.).
  • Manage phone system support, including adding, changing, or deleting extensions.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation through the change management process.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with end-users.
  • Participate in on-call support after business hours.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT helpdesk/support in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and computer hardware.
  • Solid understanding of networking knowledge including IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Familiarity with MDM, virtualization technology (VMware), backup solutions (Veeam, Wasabi) is an asset.
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License (G).
