About the Role
Discord is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Ads team to revolutionize user interaction through innovative ad formats like Quests. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining ad products and infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving revenue growth while enhancing user engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain new Ads products and infrastructure from backend to frontend.
- Collaborate with engineers on and off the team, including Revenue Infrastructure, Core Tech, Machine Learning, and Data Science teams.
- Act as a strategic partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional leadership in designing, developing, and scaling digital advertising features.
- Architect simple and maintainable systems for rapid iteration and high product/technical quality.
- Model strong ownership by acting autonomously and looping in others when necessary.
- Introduce coding and operational best practices to the team.
- Own projects end-to-end, from refining requirements with Product and stakeholders to technical design, implementation, launch, and maintenance.
Requirements
