About the Role

The Hemodialysis Trainee is an entry-level position responsible for initiating, monitoring, and discontinuing outpatient hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of an RN and a preceptor during orientation. The trainee has 18 months to pass the National Hemodialysis Technician Certification Exam, with the employee solely responsible for exam scheduling and payment.

Responsibilities

• Initiates outpatient hemodialysis treatments under supervision.
• Monitors outpatient hemodialysis treatments under supervision.
• Discontinues outpatient hemodialysis treatments under supervision.

Requirements

• Must pass the National Hemodialysis Technician Certification Exam within 18 months of hire.
• Employee is solely responsible for the scheduling and payment of the certification exam.
