About the Role

LINQ is building AI into its operations and needs a builder to lead this initiative internally. This role involves embedding with teams to map workflows, simplify processes, and develop AI agents that automate tasks. The goal is to create reusable skills and establish patterns for AI integration across the company, ultimately shaping LINQ's internal agent platform and driving AI adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop durable agent skills and patterns that can be reused by other teams.
  • Implement rigorous evaluation and guardrail mechanisms for agents.
  • Instrument agent performance, define metrics, and prove impact through dashboards.
  • Train teams, document patterns, and transition ownership of shipped agents.
  • Help define LINQ's internal agent platform, including patterns for building, evaluating, deploying, and observing agents.
  • Establish patterns for packaging, versioning, evaluating, and sharing reusable agent capabilities.
  • Shape the agent orchestration approach, including tool discovery, handoffs, and escalations.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI tooling, including foundation models, agent frameworks, and observability tools.
  • Co-launch an internal AI champions network, providing technical substance like agent templates and reusable skills.
  • Run office hours, workshops, and enablement sessions for various audiences.

  • Partner with the CTO on AI strategy and adoption roadmap, providing proof points and metrics.
  • Ensure all shipped agents and tools meet regulatory requirements (FERPA, COPPA, PCI, CCPA).
  • Track the AI vendor, model, and agent-platform landscape, providing informed recommendations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building production software.
  • Direct experience building agents, including multi-step, tool-using LLM workflows.
  • Experience considering agent evals, guardrails, failure modes, cost, and human handoff.
  • Working knowledge of the modern agent stack: foundation model APIs, agent frameworks, MCP, and evaluation tooling.
  • Track record of driving adoption of new tools and practices with measurable results.
  • Strong fluency across the stack: scripting, light app development, API integrations, data pipelines, evaluation harnesses.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and defining paths forward.
  • Experience in a PE-backed, multi-product SaaS environment or similar operational complexity.
