About the Role
Beaches Animal Hospital is seeking an organized, motivated, and empathetic Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Attendant to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients and their pets. This is an important support role for the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients and pet parents
- Answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
- Place outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
- Respond to and manage email correspondence
- Admit and discharge pet patients
- Handle invoicing/billing, create estimates, obtain pet owner confirmation, and process payments
- Schedule appointments
- Perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
- Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Requirements
- Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is required
- Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures
Skills

- Aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
