About the Role
The Analyst / Associate role on the Client Solutions & Analytics team in London partners with clients to understand their investment objectives and design solutions. The team leverages PIMCO’s intellectual capital, resources, and proprietary infrastructure to help clients make better investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior Strategists to engage with Account Managers and their clients, understand investment objectives, and support the design of solutions.
- Support the team in delivering asset allocation and risk management solutions to clients and prospects in both assets-only and ALM spaces.
- Utilize proprietary software and external data sources for risk analytics, optimizations, economic scenario analyses, and stress tests.
- Assist in building presentation books detailing PIMCO’s analysis and recommendations.
- Maintain marketing and thematic materials, including presentation books and general education materials.
- Perform periodic risk management, attribution, and other product analysis reports as required.
- Support senior Strategists and Quantitative Research Analysts in generating thought leadership by building models and generating intellectual capital for PIMCO’s Solutions activities.
- Employ AI-enabled tools to streamline processes, enhance insights, and support more efficient and scalable client analyses.
- Manage a workload of multiple simultaneous client projects while ensuring deadlines are met.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience preferred in investment strategy, asset allocation, or related analytical roles.
- Backgrounds across buy-side, sell-side, and advisory organizations will be considered.
- Robust quantitative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity and adoption of AI tools in daily workflow.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Fluency in English; another European language is desirable.
- Passion for financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment management.
- Proven general investment knowledge across an array of asset classes.
- Strong results orientation and ability to manage multiple concurrent agendas.
- Proactive, well-organized, high-energy self-starter who works well in a team environment.
- Ability to tackle sophisticated problems efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ideally working towards an industry-recognized qualification such as CFA, CAIA, FIA.
