About the Role
You will work collaboratively with Investment Directors and Investment Associates to provide investment and capital markets research, analysis, and advice to clients. This role offers opportunities to participate in client and investment manager research meetings from the beginning, supporting multiple clients and projects simultaneously. You will gain direct exposure to and learn from experienced Managing Directors across all asset classes, with opportunities for involvement in business development, marketing, and capital markets/fund manager research.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of investment strategy and portfolio construction recommendations for clients, considering market opportunities and risks.
- Critically evaluate and assess investment managers’ portfolios and performance.
- Interface with clients and respond to client requests.
- Prepare capital markets exhibits and other client presentation materials.
- Participate in fund manager meetings and assist in assessment processes, including writing summaries.
- Contribute to Investment due diligence reports across various asset classes, with a focus on Private Investments.
- Conduct proactive assessments of potential markets and clients, prepare prospect outreach, and assist in composing client pitch materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a record of high academic achievement (economics or business degree preferred).
- Prior experience in the Investments and Asset Management industry is desirable.
- Demonstrable interest in learning about Investment Management across all asset classes.
- Strong team working, problem-solving, writing, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work reliably with reduced oversight and collaborate effectively within a team under tight deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to engage in conversation with clients, fund managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of a European language is desirable (but not required).
- A desire to obtain, or in the process of obtaining, a professional qualification (CFA, CAIA, or equivalent).
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite programs (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
