About the Role
CAM Industrial Solutions, a leader in industrial services, seeks a Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker experienced in cleanroom/semiconductor environments. We are looking for individuals driven by excellence, pride in their work, and a collaborative spirit to join our high-performance team.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal ductwork, air handling, and cleanroom enclosures for ultra-clean airflow, chemical air distribution, and exhaust systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and 3D models for cleanroom duct, air handling, and enclosure systems.
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and seal sheet metal ductwork, plenums, transitions, boots, and cleanroom enclosures using welding, riveting, sealing, and structural framing.
- Perform high-precision layout, cutting, bending, forming, and finishing of sheet metal components to meet cleanliness, tolerance, and airflow performance standards.
- Ensure installation meets cleanroom classification requirements, including minimal leaks and smooth airflow.
- Conduct inspections, leak testing, sealing, QA checks, and participate in turn-over documentation.
- Perform daily safety checks, toolbox talks, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Adhere to strict safety and cleanroom protocols, including PPE and gowning procedures.
- Collaborate with other trades, site management, and clients to coordinate installations and manage interferences.
- Maintain clean work areas consistent with high purity/cleanroom requirements and control contamination risks.
Requirements
- Journeyperson Sheet Metal certification (Red Seal or equivalent) required.
- Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or similar high-purity environments with cleanroom/air distribution/high-spec ducts.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, isometric/3D models, and HVAC/ductwork layouts.
- Knowledge of SMACNA, SEMI (if relevant), NFPA, OSHA safety standards.
- Skilled in welding, metal forming, sheet metal fabrication tools, and proper sealing techniques.
- Attention to detail with high standards for cleanliness and finish.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.
