About the Role
The Berufsfachschule Paulo Freire im Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN is a state-recognized, privately run school that trains social assistants. The school also offers courses for obtaining school-leaving qualifications and basic nursing courses, and is committed to establishing transcultural nursing and training practices. A further goal is to support students and participants in overcoming exclusion and marginalization. In line with the mission statement of Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN, integration into a socially in-demand professional field is intended to pave their way to independence.
Responsibilities
- Psychological (health) counseling of participants and crisis intervention if necessary
- Conducting appropriate tests and diagnostic procedures, screening procedures, and career entry diagnostics, and identifying support needs
- Support with career orientation and the transition to training and employment
- Close collaboration with project staff and management
- Support for project work and quality assurance
Requirements
- High organizational skills, resilience, multilingualism (desired)
- High commitment and identification with the school and project concept
- Professional experience in psychological and (socio-)pedagogical work (advantageous)
- Completed studies in psychology or related fields
- Independent and responsible work in coordination with project staff and management

Salary/Compensations
- In accordance with TV-L 25, E11 depending on qualifications from €2,139.95 - €2,508.52

About the Company
- Zentrum ÜBERLEBEN (formerly Behandlungszentrum für Folteropfer e.V.) works nationally and internationally for survivors of torture and war violence.
- Our clients and patients receive medical, psychotherapeutic, social work, and integrative support.
- To overcome language barriers in intercultural counseling and treatment settings, we work with specially trained interpreters.
- In addition to the rehabilitation of traumatized refugees, the focus of our work is also on the integration and vocational qualification up to social participation of people with various flight and migration experiences.
