About the Role
This position plays a key role within the hotel, maximizing guest satisfaction and hotel profitability by ensuring that food & beverage services, outlets, banquets, and operations function optimally. It involves supporting and supervising front-of-house team members, coaching and developing the F&B team, and maintaining an organized internal operation. This role requires a people-first leader to ensure an empathetic and inclusive working environment for the entire F&B department.
Responsibilities
- Act as an F&B floor manager, leading service in both restaurant and banquet settings.
- Be present on the floor during service to direct operations, support team members, and ensure service standards are consistently upheld.
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring alignment with event details and service expectations.
- Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and coordinate with Sales and Culinary teams to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Lead banquet service during events, managing pacing, staffing deployment, and overall flow of service.
- Support and supervise FOH team members during shifts in F&B Outlets, providing real-time coaching, direction, and support.
- Deliver and model exceptional guest service by responding to inquiries, managing feedback, and resolving concerns professionally.
- Assist in determining staffing needs and support the creation of schedules for banquet and FOH team members.
- Support training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members to maintain service consistency.
- Ensure banquet and restaurant spaces are clean, organized, and fully prepared for service at all times.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and conducting regular counts for banquet and FOH operations.
- Support cash handling procedures, including float management and basic reconciliation.
- Monitor guest feedback and share insights with leadership to support continuous improvement.
- Assist with reservations and coordination of banquet and outlet operations as required.
- Maintain compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Step into a Manager on Duty (MOD) role when required.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar leadership role.
- Ability to communicate with team members, co-workers, management and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner which fosters a positive and enthusiastic environment.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work assignments.
- Strong leadership skills including ability to problem solve, motivate team members and exude excellent guest service practice at all times.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast paced environment and handle stress effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong competency in Microsoft office, POS systems and timekeeping.
- Strong beverage background, with knowledge of cocktail theory, wine and spirits.
- Knowledge of classic service styles and Event/Banquet service essential.
- Knowledge of costing, pricing, and menu construction; as well as awareness of current industry trends.
- Ideal candidate should be well versed in the following systems: Silverware (hospitality software), ADP (employee platform) and Optimal Control (inventory control software).
