About the Role
Deliver health and safety training programs to a variety of clients across Ontario, representing PSHSA as a trusted partner in workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Health and Safety Training programs including Basic Certification and Part 2 Certification training as required
- Deliver training in alignment with PSHSA standards and established lesson plans
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
- Stay current on leading health and safety initiatives across Ontario and other jurisdictions
- Maintain knowledge of PSHSA products and services
- Represent PSHSA when delivering training to clients within the education, municipal, and healthcare sectors
Requirements
- A professional occupational health and safety designation
- Completion of at least 30 hours of occupational health and safety training within the last two years
- Five years of recent occupational health and safety experience
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in occupational health and safety
- 100+ hours of adult education delivery experience within the last five years
- A certificate, diploma, or degree in adult education principles
- A professional training and development designation or instructor training certification
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines
- Ability to meet travel requirements within Ontario
