About the Role

Landsec is seeking Data Analysts to collaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring data and analytics products effectively inform business strategies. The role involves working with diverse data sets, including financial, operational, and sales data, and translating complex information into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Building and embedding data and analytics products (reports, dashboards, visualisations, analysis, data science) in a commercial environment.
  • Working with multiple internal/external stakeholders to drive business adoption and performance.
  • Quickly building internal and external knowledge to assess new data and analytics opportunities.
  • Analysing and translating business needs into data models that meet data standards for reusability.
  • Measuring impact, success, and adoption using relevant metrics/KPIs to inform future enhancements.
  • Understanding governance and participating in processes for good data management and quality practices.
  • Communicating and improving data management practices in undertaken work.
  • Working with stakeholders across Landsec to ensure data and analytics products drive performance according to business strategy.
  • Managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Working with Analytics, Data Science, and Data Governance teams to maximise business value from created data and analytics products.
  • Providing data and analytics expertise and collaborating with internal teams to enable adoption of data and analytics products.
  • Communicating with stakeholders and sharing actionable insights through various channels, including data visualisations.
  • Articulating business value and driving business decision-making.
  • Analysing, prototyping, and validating work around a minimum viable product (MVP) for new Analytics products/features.
  • Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Recognising where additional data is required to solve a problem.
  • Identifying opportunities to use data science for further business value and insights.
  • Working in sprint/release planning sessions to deliver prioritised use cases and maximum business value with least effort.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers to productionise data and analytics products.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst (e.g., database management, data mining, analysis, reporting, data science).
  • Proven hands-on experience in data analysis using a programming language (e.g., Python, R).
  • Understanding of data modelling fundamentals (e.g., fact/dimension tables, relationships, star schema).
  • Experience creating or managing databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Expert knowledge of spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Sound knowledge of data visualisation software (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and articulate the value of data analysis.
  • Team-working ability.
  • Curiosity and an impulse to seek new information.
  • Ability to explore how Landsec works and discover new ways to drive Landsec’s business strategy with data and analytics.
  • Ability to build consensus around a common purpose, actively listen, persuade, and network with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate and present data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary/Compensations

  • Up to £50,000 per annum
