About the Role

We are hiring a Regional Controller in Sydney to own end-to-end controllership across the Eucalyptus group and other in-scope international entities. This role will lead the accounting function, including treasury, AP, and payroll, and own reporting and the control environment for the international business. The role will play a key part in establishing the first year SOX control environment compliance program and ensuring the group closes accurately, reports reliably, and operates with strong discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Own controllership and GL accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Lead group reporting into Hims & Hers, including US GAAP close requirements, consolidation, flux analysis, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Own local statutory reporting requirements across Australia and other jurisdictions.
  • Lead technical accounting positions, judgments, and accounting memos.
  • Own external audit delivery for group and local statutory audits.
  • Drive alignment of accounting policies, chart of accounts, close processes, and reporting standards with Hims & Hers global finance requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing international accounting team.
  • Act as the primary owner for the entire regional accounting function.
  • Own AP, AR, billing, intercompany, reconciliations, and finance operations.
  • Improve process discipline across vendor onboarding, purchase orders, accruals, expense management, invoice approvals, customer receipts, and balance sheet hygiene.
  • Lead the payroll accounting interface with the People team.
  • Drive process and systems improvements as the business transitions into Hims & Hers’ operating cadence.
  • Build a finance operations environment that is scalable, controlled, and fit for a listed-company subsidiary.
  • Own cash management and banking operations for the international group.
  • Manage operational FX exposures across intercompany and external flows.
  • Partner with Hims & Hers Group Treasury on cash visibility, bank account governance, funding requirements, intercompany settlement, and treasury controls.
  • Drive working capital discipline across receivables, payables, inventory, and operational cash cycles.
  • Ensure treasury processes are appropriately documented, controlled, and embedded in the monthly operating rhythm.
  • Partner with the SOX implementation lead and Deloitte to design, document, and operationalize controls.
  • Own the process-level controls relevant to controllership, close, revenue, expenditure, treasury, payroll, and financial operations.
  • Ensure controls are practical, embedded, and repeatable.
  • Prepare the international business for its first SOX audit cycle.
  • Build a strong first-line-of-defense culture across the finance team and adjacent business functions.
  • Drive remediation of control gaps, process weaknesses, and audit findings.
  • Own the finance systems landscape for the international group, including NetSuite, close processes, reporting structures, account mappings, approval workflows, and finance master data.
  • Ensure NetSuite is configured and operated to support reporting requirements.
  • Partner with Hims & Hers global finance systems, IT, data, and transformation teams.
  • Drive improvements to system-based controls, workflow approvals, segregation of duties, audit trails, and master-data governance.
  • Lead finance input into systems integrations, ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and post-acquisition process migration.
  • Own the quality of finance data flowing between various systems.
  • Reduce manual workarounds and spreadsheet dependency.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting to Hims & Hers.
  • Provide high-quality flux analysis, balance sheet reviews, close commentary, and issue escalation.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the VP, International Controller and Chief Accounting Officer team.
  • Be credible with senior finance stakeholders in the US and capable of operating in a US-listed environment.
  • Support integration of the international finance function into Hims & Hers’ global operating model.
  • Coach and develop the finance team, including succession planning, technical uplift, accountability, and retention.

Requirements

  • CA / CPA qualified, or equivalent qualification such as ACA, ACCA or US CPA.
  • Big 4 audit background, ideally through Senior Manager level strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years’ experience across audit, financial control, group reporting and accounting leadership.
  • Deep hands-on controllership experience inside a multinational group.
  • Experience in or with a listed multinational environment — ASX, LSE, NYSE, NASDAQ or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS / AASB and multinational consolidation requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, implementing or materially supporting SOX or an equivalent internal control framework.
  • Proven ability to lead finance teams across multiple jurisdictions or business units.
  • Strong technical accounting capability and confidence dealing with complex accounting judgments.
  • High attention to detail, strong process discipline and excellent balance sheet ownership.
  • Player-coach mindset — comfortable reviewing a journal, challenging a reconciliation and presenting to senior executives.
  • Direct hands-on US GAAP experience, including close, technical accounting memos and audit support.
  • Experience as Controller, Group Financial Controller or Head of Controllership within a subsidiary of a US-listed parent.
  • Experience integrating a recently acquired business into a listed parent’s reporting calendar, control framework and policy environment.
  • Exposure to consumer healthcare, telehealth, e-commerce, subscription, marketplace or DTC business models.
  • Experience operating across multiple ERPs or finance systems during a post-acquisition integration or finance transformation.
  • Experience working with US-based finance leadership and global reporting teams.
