About the Role

As a Business Development Representative at Temper, you will drive UK growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities within the logistics, warehousing, and industrial sectors. This role is for an ambitious individual eager to build a sales career, acting as the frontline of our growth engine by researching accounts and creating opportunities for Account Executives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted outbound prospecting into medium and large logistics, warehousing, and industrial businesses across the UK.
  • Utilize AI to research local markets, company profiles, hiring patterns, and buyer personas to identify optimal opportunities.
  • Engage prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate meetings and create qualified opportunities for Account Executives.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to hand over qualified opportunities with strong context and clear next steps.
  • Support the UK sales team in building pipeline within key growth verticals.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and Salesloft, logging activities, notes, and next steps.
  • Learn and apply Temper’s sales methodology, buyer personas, value proposition, and objection handling.
  • Consistently meet activity, meeting booking, and qualified opportunity targets.

Requirements

  • A strong desire to build a career in B2B sales.
  • Confident communicator comfortable speaking to prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • A curious mind willing to experiment with AI for efficiency and unique outreach methods.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple leads and accounts.
  • Commercially curious, with the ability to understand company challenges and identify where Temper can add value.
  • Competitive, resilient, and motivated by targets.
  • Comfortable with high levels of outbound activity and consistent prospecting.
  • Ability to take feedback, learn quickly, and improve through coaching.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote-first environment.
  • Willingness to travel to the London office from time to time.
  • Experience making outbound calls or working in a target-driven environment.
  • Understanding of logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or temporary staffing.
  • Previous experience in sales, recruitment, staffing, SaaS, marketplace businesses, or logistics.
  • Experience using Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales tools.
