About the Role
The primary role of the Client Implementation Senior Associate is the coordination and efficient implementation of all stages of business changes and new business installations for State Street Investment Management in Australia. You will interact with key stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination and timely completion of business changes and new business implementation events. The role also includes project and continuous improvement work streams.
Responsibilities
- Deliver end‑to‑end client implementation events across clients managed by State Street Investment Management Australia, including new mandate installations, ISDA account maintenance, in‑specie transitions, client terminations, benchmark and custody changes, and new broker onboarding.
- Ensure all required set‑ups are completed accurately and on time across relevant internal systems.
- Coordinate and support product launches, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure controlled implementation and successful delivery through to go‑live.
- Support the review of new mandates and products to ensure a clear understanding of operational, regulatory, and delivery risks prior to implementation.
- Operate in line with the Risk Excellence framework by complying with established procedures, performing regular reviews of operational controls, and adhering to the incident identification and reporting process.
- Actively contribute to a culture of effective challenge and continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies, recommending enhancements, and supporting the implementation of operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support effective coordination and delivery of client events.
- Participate in new business implementation, change, and transformation initiatives as required, supporting broader strategic and operational objectives.
- Jointly oversee KYC activities, including new investor due diligence and ongoing investor screening, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role from either an Investment Manager, Global Custodian, Banks or Superannuation Funds.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding service level expectations.
Skills
- Genuine interest and good understanding of financial markets.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong communications and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- High attention to detail required.
- Strong PC skills are essential.
- Team player and self-motivated professional with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while maintaining best quality of service.
