About the Role

We are seeking a Social Worker to provide counseling for individuals with substance-related issues. Our team in Addiction Counseling Pankow is looking for dedicated support. The facility is well-connected to public transport (near S-Bahn station Greifswalder Straße). The position is part-time, ranging from 31.2 (80% workload) to 35.1 hours per week (90% workload).

Responsibilities

  • Low-threshold, health-oriented counseling for individuals with substance-related problems and their relatives
  • Referral to further support services
  • Counseling on safer use topics
  • Outreach and follow-up work, e.g., in correctional facilities

Requirements

  • A completed degree in Social Work or a comparable qualification is required.
  • Fluent English is necessary for counseling.
  • Interest in regular professional exchange and continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork.
  • Intercultural counseling competence.
  • Willingness to perform outreach activities to a small extent, e.g., in prisons or clinics.
  • An accepting and open-minded basic attitude.
