About the Role

The APAC Client Operations team has an open position for an RFP Writer based out of the Tokyo office. The RFP Writer will focus on responding to questionnaires from Japanese and APAC clients. The submission of well-written questionnaires is often a critical step in the institutional sales and client reporting processes. The dedicated RFP Team within Client Operations is responsible for managing the completion of RFPs, RFIs, and other ad hoc questionnaires/deliverables that assist in the procurement of new business, meet client reporting requirements, and describe the firm and its investment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, coordinating, editing, and proofreading questionnaires, working with subject matter experts across the firm, including the client and product management teams
  • Developing an expertise in an assigned suite or suites of investment strategies to effectively craft and enhance RFP responses
  • Partnering with product management to create, edit, and refine product-related responses, including developing original content for new product text and proposing modifications to current product text
  • Maintaining up-to-date product content
  • Maintaining up-to-date translations (English/Japanese)
  • Peer reviewing questionnaires and other deliverables completed by the team to ensure response accuracy and data reasonability
  • Willingness to absorb overflow questionnaires and other work during peak periods

Requirements

  • Strong academic credentials
  • 7–10 years of relevant RFP/writing experience in the investment industry
  • High level of capital markets/investment/product knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments and complete high-quality work against strict and competing deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and quickly adapt to evolving processes
