About the Role

We are looking for a state-recognized educator / pedagogical specialist (m/f/d) with youth welfare experience for our 'Tagesgruppe Rückenwind' in Berlin-Schöneberg. The project 'Rückenwind' combines semi-inpatient day group places with special educational small classes. Two small groups with six places each offer children and adolescents with mental illness the opportunity to re-enter school life.

Responsibilities

• Provide pedagogical support to young people within a structured daily routine.
• Accompany students during lessons.
• Offer group activities.
• Support students with learning deficits.
• Conduct daily living skills training.
• Shape the group's daily life with the participation of the young people.
• Proactively and respectfully collaborate with parents and the pedagogical support system.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in regular team meetings and supervision sessions.

Requirements

• State recognition as an educator / pedagogical specialist (w/m/d) or a comparable qualification (e.g., childhood education, special needs education, educational science).
• Professional experience and a methodological repertoire for working with children and/or youth groups.
• A respectful, solution-oriented, and resource-oriented attitude that facilitates contact with children and adolescents.
• Experience at the interface between youth welfare and schools is desirable.
• Enjoyment in contributing personal hobbies and interests to work and imparting knowledge.
• Experience with mental health disorders is desirable.
