About the Role

Mother Root is seeking a detail-focused and proactive Quality Technologist to join their Technical team. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards in products and the supply chain, focusing on quality, compliance, testing, and technical processes within a fast-moving manufacturing environment. The position supports the daily management of product quality systems, supplier and product compliance, testing programs, and third-party certifications, ensuring products consistently meet regulatory, customer, and brand standards.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain raw material and finished product testing schedules across suppliers, co-manufacturers, and internal manufacturing operations.
Coordinate sample submissions, monitor testing timelines and results, and escalate quality or compliance concerns.
Support trending analysis and horizon scanning through regular review of quality, testing, and compliance data.
Track certification renewal timelines and coordinate annual submissions for existing products.
Maintain accurate technical records, specifications, and documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across technical and quality processes.
Review supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and release approved materials, flagging any out-of-specification results.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within a quality, technical, coordination, or administrative role.
Confident using Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking, reporting, and schedule management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, suppliers, laboratories, and certification bodies.
Highly detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong focus on accuracy and record-keeping.
Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable taking ownership of tasks and following through independently.
An interest in continuous improvement and using technology or AI tools to drive efficiency and streamline administrative processes.
Food manufacturing or FMCG experience is advantageous but not essential.
