About the Role
Responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting of the financial operations of assigned properties, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledgers for assigned properties, including monthly journal entries, income and expense accruals, expense recovery true-ups review, GAAP adjustments, and bank reconciliations.
- Understand accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), cash receipts, and lease administration functions of commercial real estate and their impact on financial results.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for the assigned portfolio of properties, including analyses, support schedules, and explanations of significant variances.
- Review annual expense reconciliation schedules and tenant billings.
- Prepare interim and year-end working papers and support schedules for auditors.
- Work with external auditors to prepare draft annual financial statements and notes.
- Assist with audits through research, analysis, documentation, and response.
- Oversee the annual property budget and quarterly forecast review, including data analysis and GAAP adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of budget/forecast packages with detailed analysis.
- Prepare monthly cash forecasts.
- Support Managers and Controllers with ad hoc requests.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of public accounting and/or commercial real estate accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP (specifically, real estate).
- Understanding of property management in relation to financial accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in MRI, Yardi, Skyline, JD Edwards, CTI systems desired.
- Proficiency in PC-based software such as Microsoft Excel.

Salary/Compensations
- $80,000—$90,000 USD
