About the Role

Join our team as a Reservations Agent at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, located in the heart of the UT campus. You will be responsible for handling incoming reservation calls, booking reservations, and promoting hotel services.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming reservation calls, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Book all group and transient room reservations using Opera.
  • Promote hotel services, amenities, and upsell products to guests.
  • Input all guest information into a computer system, confirming details like arrival dates, room rates, and number of nights.
  • Make appropriate rate type selections based on guest needs and sell strategy.
  • Deliver a confirmation number for all reservations made.
  • Assist the Group Rooms Coordinator with rooming lists or blocks.
  • Pre-block specific reservations and set up routing of guest charges.
  • Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome.
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, and provide accurate information.
  • Receive and appropriately respond to special requests from guests or forward them to the appropriate team members.
  • Handle email inquiries.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the University of Texas campus and the city of Austin is required.
  • Prior guest service experience is preferred.
  • Prior hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Must have valid and legal work authorization in the United States.
