About the Role
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of events, from pre-event planning to post-event execution, ensuring a successful experience for clients and attendees. The position requires a strong focus on customer service, time management, and attention to detail, while working collaboratively within a team and independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide the highest levels of customer service to internal partners and external clients.
- Deliver a successful experience for the planner and attendees to garner repeat and referral business.
- Respond quickly, professionally, and courteously to all internal partners and external customers.
- Deliver clear and concise communication representative of Concord Hospitality.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, self-motivation, and organization with a focus on details.
- Participate in all necessary internal meetings, conference calls, reporting, and planning.
- Prepare for and participate in client site visits, tasting panels, pre- and post-cons planning meetings, and networking events.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of pre-event, event, and post-event details.
- Track, detail, and communicate particulars of each assigned event and group, including room blocks, meeting space, concessions, and contract clauses.
- Accurately forecast group rooms and F&B revenues with internal and external partners.
- Understand conditions and strategies to maximize released space and rooms to impact hotel revenues.
- Gain knowledge of hotel's food and beverage products, pricing, presentation, and function space details.
- Learn and utilize digital sales systems (e.g., Delphi, CI/TY, PMS) and understand hotel revenue strategies.
- Implement tools and resources to accomplish individual and team goals and complete job duties efficiently.
- Attend customer functions as needed and work varying schedules and locations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision or in a team environment as a team leader.
- Foster teamwork and adopt an entrepreneurial spirit to make the best decisions for the hotel.
- Consistently meet goals and performance metrics as required for the position.
- Own career development and seek training and job opportunities for talent enhancement.
- Carry out reasonable requests made by Management and comply with company policies and procedures.
