About the Role

Golden Gate Regional Center is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to evaluate and monitor services across three counties, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices for individuals supported by the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct quality assurance evaluations on community programs, including report writing, follow-ups, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Act as an independent evaluator, evaluation team leader, or QA team member.
  • Participate in State reviews of GGRC services.
  • Revise evaluation tools for residential and nonresidential programs based on Title XVII regulations and best practices.
  • Analyze and review changes in Title XVII and XXII and DDS standard regulations, making policy recommendations.
  • Participate in the Request for Proposal process for service provider selection.
  • Develop plans of correction for underperforming programs and provide follow-up.
  • Serve on in-house and community committees and task forces to improve program quality.
  • Provide training workshops on evaluation and monitoring for service providers, GGRC staff, and community representatives.
  • Participate in meetings with Community Care Licensing and other regional centers.
  • Evaluate a Family Homes Agency (FHA) annually and provide ongoing technical assistance.
  • Provide technical assistance to community programs, including targeted training seminars.
  • Participate in special projects and assist with additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain client information confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and the Lanterman Act.

Requirements

  • 2+ years post-graduate work, one of which must be in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with a broad spectrum of providers and community partners.
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements (policies, procedures, regulations and expectations) to diverse groups.

  • Documenting and maintaining accurate data, reports and records.
  • Basic familiarity with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook® or similar software applications.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

  • Seminar and workshop presentation.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $60,385 - $72,462
