About the Role
Corpay is seeking a Business Development Associate to join their Cross Border line of business in Toronto, Canada. This role involves collaborating with a sales team to generate new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange market, offering currency risk management and global payment solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.
Responsibilities
- Position conversations towards business owners, C-suite executives, and finance leaders to articulate customized solutions for currency risk management and global payment needs.
- Conduct a high volume of daily outreach via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to qualify and book meetings with new leads.
- Target business owners, C-suite executives, and finance leaders to articulate customized solutions for their currency risk management and global payment requirements.
- Achieve targets based on the number of booked first appointments and sufficient first appointments, among other KPIs.
- Collaborate with the sales team to foster new business opportunities in North America within the foreign exchange arena.
- Deliver industry-leading currency risk management and global payment solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.
- Execute daily outreach to potential businesses via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to qualify and book meetings or disqualify leads.
- Create new business opportunities while advancing sales skills and career in foreign exchange and financial services.
Requirements
- 0-4 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or a similar position.
- Post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
- Highly self-motivated and competitive with a strong drive to generate new business opportunities.
- Intuitive and strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Collaborative, skilled at facilitating strong client and internal relationships.
- Coachable, able to understand, incorporate, and implement feedback quickly.
- Curious, persuasive, with excellent negotiation skills, extremely driven, and success-oriented.
- Eager to dive into the world of finance and global markets; a strong interest in learning the field is key.
- Experience or background in agriculture is an asset.
- Inspired by work, goals achieved, and opportunities created.
- Open to making phone calls and not afraid of rejection.
- Strong willingness to succeed with a desire to further career in sales.
- High degree of self-motivation and passion for achieving results.
- Excellent time management, written, verbal, and prospect communication skills.
