About the Role
The Associate General Counsel, Privacy & Product, will collaborate with product and business teams to integrate privacy into technologies that redefine the digital advertising ecosystem. This role involves providing legal counseling to mitigate risk throughout the product development lifecycle within a fast-paced, global legal team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and business teams from initial development stages to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Maintain current knowledge of global privacy laws and advertising technology, including cookies, tags, pixels, and AI/ML models.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Educate employees, partners, and clients on current and emerging privacy issues.
- Collaborate with legal and business teams to improve internal processes.
Requirements
- J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of an applicable state bar.
- 8+ years of legal experience.
- Familiarity with digital advertising industry legal issues, including self-regulatory guidelines, privacy, data governance, and consumer protection.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical writing, and judgment skills.
- Ability to provide practical, business-friendly advice on complex issues.
