About the Role

National Public Media is seeking an intern to join their New York sales office. The sales team represents NPR’s radio, podcast, digital, and events platforms. The ideal candidate has experience or interest in media sales or advertising, is curious about the media industry, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Support campaign management through the full sales cycle, including proposal development, inventory and creative clearance, billing procedures, and client reports for radio and digital platforms.
  • Assist sales coordinators and sales account executives in managing sponsor copy, including copywriting, obtaining client approvals, and routing internally for production.
  • Help create pitch decks and supporting materials for RFP responses.
  • Assist the sales team with client prospecting, research, and presentations for client meetings.
  • Support sales team with database management, including Salesforce entry and maintenance, Trello, and Magellan.
  • Monitor live campaign performance (digital + broadcast) and assist with coordination with Digital Campaign Managers, issuing Radio logs/airchecks, building Campaign Wrap-Up decks, and gathering assets for Brand Lift Studies.
  • Provide administrative support, including coordinating conference calls, events, and meetings.
