About the Role

The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) is responsible for managing all renewal aspects of the relationships with Newswires customers in EMEA, retaining existing contract revenue and supporting new sales. The role involves liaising with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and driving successful renewals to maintain a strong revenue base for Dow Jones. Success is measured by the retention rates of assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Create, own, and ensure buy-in for the retention strategy for assigned Newswires accounts.
  • Proactively provide management and the collaborating team with a clear picture of high-risk renewal accounts and strategies to improve them.
  • Ensure appropriate customer training and product utilization by working with the Product Training Specialist team and monitoring internal Tableau reports.
  • Oversee the overall renewal lifecycle, including pricing, contracting, invoicing, and client support.
  • Support new sales into existing accounts to ensure maximum customer ROI with DJ.
  • Learn and understand all Newswires delivery channels and partners to advise clients on best practices and utilization.
  • Create and adhere to SLAs for client response.
  • Understand and advocate for the use of DJ suite of tools, including NewsPlus and associated newswires.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients, including their business groups, value derived from DJ services, financial market exposure, competitor solutions, and current/developing needs.
  • Understand how clients derive value from DJ services/products and identify key decision-makers.
  • Serve as an internal conduit for client feedback and competitive intelligence to DJ Product, Content & Marketing.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue (up-selling and cross-selling) within assigned accounts and collaborate with the sales team.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate client records within the Company’s systems.
  • Communicate with clients primarily via telephone and email, and also through face-to-face meetings in European financial centers.

Requirements

  • Min 2-4 years of proven success in client engagement, customer success, or account management.
  • Experience and interest in Financial Markets, Financial Technology, Asset Management, or Trading is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite & Google Drive, Google templates, Google distribution lists.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce & Tableau is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Factset and other Financial data systems is highly desirable.
  • Additional European languages beyond English is desirable.
