About the Role

On any given day at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, we’re reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world’s most beloved stories while also transforming Disney’s media business for the future. The Live Orchestration Department at DE&E Technology consists of agile and responsive teams of technicians that perform the daily processes and procedures required to run our live and on-demand streaming video products. The Streaming Media Assistant is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high profile media products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues in workflows when they arise
  • Execute defined processes to validate the quality and availability of live content streams
  • Executes system health monitoring and live and VOD streaming media orchestration using tools & software
  • Record steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise

Requirements

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong understanding of computers and applications.
  • Must have an exemplary attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Must possess solid organizational skills.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
  • Must have a strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • A team player who is enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to troubleshoot efficiently.
