About the Role
As an Account Director at Sid Lee, you will be the key liaison between clients and internal teams, guiding projects with clarity and vision. This role involves leading the partnership with a healthcare client, steering their initiatives across multiple markets and ensuring bold, high-impact creative work is executed.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop senior-level client relationships, contributing strategic value.
- Anticipate and address marketing needs with expert knowledge of the client’s business.
- Grow existing business and participate in new business pitches.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Balance multiple accounts/workstreams, maintaining a deep understanding of status and developments.
- Lead and oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand strategy.
- Manage and optimize top-line growth and oversee profitability across accounts.
- Ensure quality control in all phases, ensuring flawless execution and delivery.
- Lead account review process and regularly engage leadership on progress.
- Demonstrate a desire to innovate, change the course of things, challenge the status quo, and push the limits with the projects you lead.
- Manage conflicts, provoke discussions, and make difficult decisions.
- Be a “career manager” for your team, outlining expectations, career paths and growth opportunities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Leadership skills: experienced thought leader who can organize, motivate and improve creative thinking and output.
- Business savvy: understand clients' businesses and how to run an agency business.
- Strategic thinker: ability to think strategically and apply critical and analytical skills.
- Growth mindset: leverage relationships to identify opportunities to grow the business portfolio.
- Entrepreneurial and invested: thrive in smaller environments, enjoy building from the ground up, and can see the big picture while diving into the trenches.
- Relationship builder: develop and maintain relationships with internal teams, senior clients, and agency partners.
- Coach + Mentor: pass on experience through generous and patient mentorship.
- Cultural player: positive, collaborative, contagious spirit with zero ego and a calm demeanor.
- Experience working with clients in highly regulated industries.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical space is considered an asset.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
