About the Role

The Wealth Sales Coach provides guidance and training to financial planning professionals, focusing on wealth management products, services, and individual practices. This role helps financial planning teams develop strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth Members, increase sales performance, and achieve yearly objectives. The coach may also provide mentorship, conduct sales training, analyze sales data, and offer personalized coaching to enhance staff skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coaching to build financial planners skills on specific knowledge areas or to refine member engagement tactics.
  • Assist in leading a financial planning sales force by increasing both gross and net wealth sales through personalized coaching sessions.
  • Provide internal technical consultancy in areas of expertise including investment products, investment accounts, basic tax advantages, and entry-level financial planning techniques.
  • Establish and build key relationships with Retail branch managers to increase Member engagement activities.
  • Build and establish coaching activities and training plans to drive financial planning team activities aligned to Conquest and CapIntel usage.
  • Facilitate in-person and remote coaching sessions in groups and/or one-on-one.
  • Maximize sales force effectiveness by determining and solving training needs and developing/delivering internal training courses.
  • Deepen front-line knowledge of various wealth platforms for financial planning via Conquest and other key Member engagement opportunities.
  • Assist in the implementation and adoption of new policies, processes, and tools related to Financial Planning via Conquest.
  • Keep apprised of external Financial Planning trends and offer insights to build stronger Financial Planning capabilities.
  • Champion adoption of CRM Dynamics 365, answering advisor questions and utilizing CRM reporting for leader consultation and coaching.
  • Use performance KPIs, Member feedback, and knowledge of top performers to accelerate onboarding and drive development of sales representatives.
  • Deploy coaching techniques and structured development plans to help sales representatives learn and grow.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Wealth distribution channel, educating staff on operational effectiveness and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct investment sales experience, preferably in a branch retail/planning, or wealth management environment, supporting or working directly with Financial Planners/Advisors.
  • Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems – ideally Dynamics 365 or similar.
  • Experienced in facilitation, consulting/coaching principles, and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships and networks with internal and external professionals.
  • Well-developed knowledge of the wealth management business, holistic wealth offering requirements for mass affluent/affluent clientele, and current/emerging wealth management trends.
  • Strong technology expertise including experience with Microsoft Suite Products, especially PowerPoint, Teams, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience in creating and delivering holistic financial plans.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence, turning ideas into actionable tools and resources.
  • Proven communication skills – written and oral – for group and/or 1:1 presentations.
  • Ability to convey complex ideas in a digestible way and effectively collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Confidence and willingness to learn and integrate AI and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret information from various sources and apply logic and problem-solving to make decisions.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify, prioritize and improve member experience and business efficiency.
  • Comfortable navigating and embracing change and uncertainty, asking questions, exploring options, and continuously learning and growing.

Salary/Compensations

  • CAD $83,000 - $98,000 annually
