About the Role
As part of the Consumer & Marketing Solutions Portfolio, the Demand Side Platform team builds real-time bidding and programmatic advertising infrastructure. This early-career role is designed for engineers eager to learn and contribute to high-impact, scalable, and resilient systems using modern development practices and AI-assisted tools.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to coding tasks including unit and system testing and pair programming.
- Utilize AI tools for code generation, documentation, and troubleshooting while ensuring accuracy and security.
- Collaborate to break down epics, features, and stories.
- Apply spec-driven development practices through specification reviews.
- Develop foundational skills in Java, TypeScript, and Python.
- Build familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure-as-code concepts like Terraform and AWS CDK.
- Gain exposure to relational and non-relational data stores and in-memory caching.
- Troubleshoot issues using traditional debugging and AI-assisted root-cause exploration.
- Support platform modernization and legacy code migration.
- Apply secure coding practices and participate in AI-assisted code analysis.
- Document processes and best practices using AI tools.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or 4 years of equivalent experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
- Foundational programming skills in modern languages.
- Basic understanding of software development concepts including version control, testing, and the development lifecycle.
- Eagerness to learn cloud platforms, data stores, and infrastructure tooling.
- Openness to adopting AI-assisted development tools.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn Agile and Value Stream-based delivery models.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
