About the Role

IONIC DIGITAL is seeking an experienced Site Development Manager to coordinate and oversee data center development projects from pre-development through operational readiness. This role involves managing site development efforts, implementing timelines, and handling commercial implications at the site level, while ensuring smooth site operations and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of data center site development projects from pre-construction through project execution.
• Coordinate site development activities verifying permitting, utility agreements and relationships, infrastructure, construction readiness, and contractor management.
• Oversee project schedules, development timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor expenditures, support forecasting efforts, review preliminary costs, and project budgets.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, utility providers, and local agencies throughout the development lifecycle.
• Supervise and support Program Managers and project coordination staff assigned to development initiatives.
• Utilize Procore or other project management systems to manage project documentation, reporting, workflows, and communication.
• Identify project risks, delays, and operational challenges while implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, permitting regulations, and development processes.
• Provide regular project updates, executive reporting, and development status reviews for leadership.
• Support procurement, vendor selection, contract coordination, and construction administration activities.
• Drive accountability across project stakeholders to maintain schedule, quality, and budget expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in site development, construction management, infrastructure development, or mission critical projects
• Strong experience in data center development or large-scale industrial/infrastructure projects required.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent development projects and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar project management and construction administration platforms
• Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, permitting, and infrastructure coordination.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, utilities, and executive leadership.
