  • Identify and secure high-traffic community locations and large-scale events for recruitment activities.
  • Manage and track prospective student leads in HubSpot to ensure all recruitment inputs are documented, and follow-up communication is executed with quality and timeliness.
  • Persuade and inspire prospective families by effectively communicating KIPP’s mission and value proposition.
  • Deliver exceptional, high-touch customer service and bilingual communication to prospective families.
  • Guide families through the multi-step application and registration process in SchoolMint, providing the necessary technical support and persistent follow-up.
  • Identify and escalate non-routine family concerns or enrollment barriers to team leadership.
  • Partner with school-based operations teams to lead school tours and support campus events.
  • Partner with the Student Recruitment and Enrollment team and other RSO departments to ensure all field activities align with regional growth goals and organizational strategy.
  • Identify and maintain functional relationships with community-based organizations to amplify KIPP’s mission.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and information sessions to CBO partners and groups of prospective families.
  • Plan and organize the weekly logistics for field-based activities using Asana.
  • Execute marketing and flyering campaigns across target neighborhoods.
  • Monitor SchoolMint data and HubSpot activity to maintain data integrity and provide leadership with real-time visibility into the health of the enrollment funnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in community outreach, student recruitment, or field-based organizing, with a proven track record of independently executing outreach plans and achieving engagement targets.
  • Direct experience with K-12 public education—as a parent, student, or staff member—including a demonstrated ability to serve as a credible "connector" and build trust within the diverse communities of San Francisco or Oakland.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is not required, provided the candidate possesses an equivalent combination of professional experience and community expertise.
  • Working knowledge of community organizing methods—including canvassing, phone banking, and tabling—with the ability to adapt messaging for different neighborhood contexts in San Francisco and Oakland.
  • Familiarity with local geographic and cultural landscapes and a "connector mindset" capable of building authentic, credible relationships with families and community-based organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills with the ability to provide helpful customer service and navigate enrollment questions with empathy, clarity, and a focus on solutions.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish or Cantonese is required for direct family communication, community engagement, and supporting families through the enrollment process.
  • Prior experience using HubSpot (or equivalent CRM) for lead management, SchoolMint for application processing, and Asana for project and task tracking is preferred.
  • Must have a valid CA driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
  • Ability to navigate office and school campuses, use technology, and occasionally lift or carry materials up to 20 lbs.
